7. Chronology of Jujol

1879: 16 September, born in Tarragona, son of Andreu and Tarrasa.

1885: Enrolls in the primary school directed by his father.

1888: Moves with his family to the Gràcia neighborhood of Barcelona; enrolls in the neighborhood primary school and begins attending painting classes.

1891: Enrolls in the secondary school of the Provincial Council of Barcelona.

1893: Moves with his family to the center of Barcelona.

1896: Completes secondary education.

1897: Enrolls in the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Barcelona; that same year, enrolls at the Barcelona School of Architecture.

1898: First plans and drawings relating to furniture.

1901: Begins working in the studio of architect Antoni Maria Gallissà.

1902: Street decorations for the Festival of La Mercè (in collaboration with Gallissà) / Sgraffito and railings for the Casa Gallissà / Academic works / Gate, gallery, and decorative elements for a dwelling in the Eixample.
